Privacy Policy
In short: AirBridge moves your files directly between your phone and your own devices over your local network. The developer does not run any servers, and never receives, stores or sees your files. The free version shows ads from Google AdMob, which collects some device data as described below.
Who we are
AirBridge (package com.amol.airbridgeftp) is developed by an independent developer (“we”, “us”). If you have questions about this policy, contact us at zentryxlabs.dev@gmail.com.
Your files
- When you start the server, AirBridge makes the folder you choose available to devices on your local network through FTP and a built-in web page.
- Files are transferred directly between your phone and the connecting device. They are never uploaded to us or to any cloud service operated by us.
- Anyone on the same network who knows the address can connect while the server is running. You can require a username and password, turn on read-only mode, and stop the server at any time.
- Standard FTP and the web interface use unencrypted connections on your local network. Pro users can enable encrypted FTPS. Use AirBridge on networks you trust.
Information stored on your device
AirBridge keeps its settings (such as port, username, password, chosen folder and theme) and a short history of recent transfers only on your device. This information is not sent to us. It is removed when you clear the app’s data or uninstall it.
Permissions we use
- Storage / All files access — to share the files and folders you choose with your other devices.
- Network and WiFi state, Internet — to run the file server on your local network, show your address, and load ads.
- Location — only because Android requires it to read the name of the WiFi network you are connected to, which is shown in the app. Your location is not collected, stored or shared.
- Notifications and foreground service — to show that the server is running and let you stop it.
- Wake lock — optionally keeps the phone awake during transfers.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version of AirBridge shows banner ads served by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process information such as your device’s advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, and ad interaction data. This data is collected by Google, not by us. You can reset or limit your advertising ID in your Android settings (Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads).
Learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy. Upgrading to AirBridge Pro removes ads.
In-app purchases
AirBridge Pro is purchased through Google Play Billing. Payments are handled entirely by Google; we never receive your payment details. The app only receives confirmation of whether you own Pro, which is stored on your device.
What we do not do
- We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs other than Google AdMob.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not have access to your files, transfer history or settings.
Children
AirBridge is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
You can stop the server at any time, change or remove your password, choose which folder is shared, clear the app’s data, or uninstall the app. For data collected by Google for advertising, use your device’s ad settings or Google’s privacy controls.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new effective date.
